{"id":755,"date":"2009-05-14T12:01:00","date_gmt":"2009-05-14T16:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/2009\/05\/14\/chrysler-dealerships-in-nny-set-to-close\/"},"modified":"2009-05-14T12:01:00","modified_gmt":"2009-05-14T16:01:00","slug":"chrysler-dealerships-in-nny-set-to-close","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org\/inbox\/2009\/05\/14\/chrysler-dealerships-in-nny-set-to-close\/","title":{"rendered":"Chrysler Dealerships in NNY Set to Close"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chrysler&#8217;s other shoe just dropped.<\/p>\n<p>A couple weeks ago, the car maker announced it would file Chapter 11 bankruptcy and reorganize (with the help of Italian auto company Fiat).<\/p>\n<p>Bankruptcy lets the company negotiate &#8211; in a way it couldn&#8217;t before &#8211; with unions, suppliers and dealers. Specifically, Chrysler can terminate contracts.<\/p>\n<p>This morning, the car maker released its list of dealers it will no longer supply &#8211; likely forcing the closure of these businesses.<\/p>\n<p>Some northern New York and Vermont dealers are on this list:<\/p>\n<p>Great Northern Motors Jeep on Route 11 in Malone<\/p>\n<p>Dominic Condino Motors selling Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep on State Street in Carthage<\/p>\n<p>John C. Miller Jeep on Perry Street in Johnstown (just south of the Adirondack Park and the town of Gloversville)<\/p>\n<p>Lewis Goodman Chrysler on W Genessee Street in Syracuse<\/p>\n<p>Bob Kavic Chrysler and Dodge on Route 28 in Herkimer<\/p>\n<p>Rutland Dodge on Route 7 in North Clarendon, Vermont<\/p>\n<p>and Walker Motors Jeep on River Street in Montpelier, Vermont<\/p>\n<p>Do you work at any of these dealerships? Do you know someone who does? Have you bought a vehicle from them?
