After a weekend away from hourly check-ins with the news and blogs from Albany, we&#8217;re back. Seems like they never left. While we were away, state senators had more quick &#8220;extraordinary&#8221; sessions, again without debating or acting on any bills. Our reporter Karen DeWitt e-mailed this morning, sketching out her schedule for the next few days (she has vacation scheduled next week&#8230;). Who knows what will happen, or not happen before then? As she wrote, &#8220;I can&#8217;t believe this is still going on, it&#8217;s summer, for God&#8217;s sake&#8230;&#8221;<br \/>The NY Post&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nypost.com\/seven\/07052009\/postopinion\/opedcolumnists\/albany__i_give_up_177689.htm\"><\/a>Fred Dicker had a particularly gloomy take yesterday on the Senate stalemate, from his particularly longtime-insider perspective.
