Okay, granted, it wasn&#8217;t raining&#8230;yet.<\/p>\n<p>The Glens Falls Post-Star <a href=\"http:\/\/poststar.com\/articles\/2009\/07\/15\/news\/local\/doc4a5d40f266c46917894501.txt\">has a piece in today&#8217;s paper <\/a>acknowledging the impact of July&#8217;s autumnal weather on tourism.<span style=\"font-size:85%\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size:85%\">&#8220;This (recession) is by far and away the worst of all; the other ones I barely even noticed,&#8221; said Phil Jackson, owner of Adirondack Balloon Flights. &#8220;And then you toss the weather into it and you kind of want to say \u2018uncle.\u2019 &#8220;<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I&#8217;m not usually a weather-moper.  But after last year&#8217;s soggy weather, and a long winter, I&#8217;m ready for some scorchers.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been tough finding days to mow the lawn.  And I feel a particular sympathy for those dogged motorcyclists (usually with their long-suffering girlfriend\/wives installed on the back) plowing through the gale.<\/p>\n<p>So enough already.  Here&#8217;s my request for the weatherman:<\/p>\n<p>I want one full week of straight warm weather, including the weekends on both ends.
