John McHugh&#8217;s confirmation as Army Secretary. <\/p>\n<p>That website is subscription only.  Here&#8217;s the treatment on the c<a href=\"http:\/\/weeklystandard.com\/Weblogs\/TWSFP\/TWSFPView.asp#12756\">onservative Weekly Standard&#8217;s<\/a> blog.<br \/><em><\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Roll Call<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rollcall.com\/news\/37659-1.html\" target=\"_blank\">reports<\/a> that &#8220;McHugh is the subject of a hold by Kansas GOP Sens. Sam Brownback and Pat Roberts, who want assurances from Obama that detainees at the Guant\u00e1namo Bay, Cuba, prison will not be transferred to Fort Leavenworth in Kansas.&#8221;  <\/p>\n<p>Unless Obama makes a recess appointment, McHugh won&#8217;t be able to assume his new post until the Senate returns September 8.
