Cape Cod or bust! (or quit)

Day 1, 64.1 miles. So, yes, I’m biking to Cape Cod again this year… but I really don’t know why. I especially don’t know why after yesterday’s hot, hllly trip with a constant headwind! But I’m game for a second day of it before I make my final decision to keep on truckin’ or throw in the dirty towel.

I’ve been conducting a psychological experiment on how the mind chooses to remember the “good” things (great meals, interesting places etc.) and “forgets” the other things (the mind-numbing hills, the fatigue, the Gator Ade!) The experiment is officially over…. it is TRUE my mind forgot everything PERFECTLY!

OK enough griping… I’m having a wonderful time, wish you were here (in lovely Lowville, that is)

Here’s a photo of some roadside humor… a small “cairn” under the “Pitcairn” sign. Woo hoo!

Today a tailwind (I hope) to Little Falls.

  1. Shelly Pike says:

Go, Bob, go! You can do it (again)!

  2. If Clapton is God, Warren Haynes is Jesus says:

Bob, Bob, what about Bob. Pedal on, good brother. Safe travels and don’t pickup any hitchhikers. At least any ugly ones……
