What’s up with the messages?

If you‘ve been listening this morning no doubt you’ve heard our messages asking you to make a donation to support the station. It’s summer, and for most public radio stations that generally means an on-air fundraiser. One thing we know is that summer in the North Country is WAY too short. Taking in every second of it without interruption is important. That said, our need for listener support hasn’t changed — we need it more than ever. So we thought we’d try an experiment. Could we have a successful fundraiser without interrupting programming? Would people really give?
