Re-elect NCPR

How many times during the approximately 6,247 days of the current election campaign have you asked yourself, “Can we just vote, already?” I feel you. New York not being among the states that have routine early voting, the answer sadly is “no,” at least not in the presidential election.

But it’s also election time at NCPR. Our fall fundraiser begins on Monday. It will be a short campaign – a “snap election,” to borrow a term from our parliamentary-style neighbors – that will run for the coming three weeks. Our solemn campaign promise to you is that we will not interrupt regular programming to ask for your vote of support. Just brief on-air messages inside our regular program breaks, and messages online, and in your mail and e-mail.

To re-elect NCPR for another term in your media pantheon, there are no residency requirements, no photo ID needed; you can be a citizen of anywhere. And you can cast your ballot anytime—right now, even.

We’re even allowed to try to buy your vote. For example, if you take advantage of early voting before our drive begins, you will be entered into a drawing to win an iPad Air 2 tablet computer on Tuesday, as well as be entered into all the drawings that follow until the end of the campaign.

Vote early, vote often – re-elect NCPR

I’m Dale Hobson and I approve this message.
