You are the vital spark!
Hi folks,
This has been a big year for the Adirondack news bureau. We covered big breaking news stories like the inmate manhunt in Clinton County, the firestorm over the name of Paul Smiths College, and the ongoing crisis at Sunmount in Tupper Lake. That’s a big lift for a small news operation.
But here’s what I’m really proud of. Even with the crunch of complicated, breaking news, we were able to find time for deeper, richer investigative reports, and for the fun stories that remind us what we love about the Adirondacks. We hiked and paddled in the footsteps of Ralph Waldo Emerson. We looked at a plan to park old oil trains on the margin of the High Peaks Wilderness.
Most small, rural news organizations can’t even begin to tackle that kind of reporting. How do we do it? With your dollars. It’s really that simple. The $40 or $120 that you donate right now goes directly into the nitty-gritty work of telling the story of Northern New York and the Adirondacks.
Your generosity isn’t just “nice” or “cool.” It’s the vital spark, the lifeblood. It makes all the difference day after day. So please give what you can right now. Trust me; the payoff will be remarkable. You do your bit now and we’ll do ours.
It’s Time To Give!
Thanks so much,
Brian

P.S. Don’t forget, everyone who donates is automatically entered into our fall prize drawings. Our next drawing, for an iPad Pro tablet computer, comes when we reach $230,000 toward our goal. You don’t have to donate to win, but we hope you’ll be a part of our success!
I mailed my donation. But I forgot to add my thanks! I wake up to the local news…well, I’m awake before that but the 8 o’clock hour wakes up my mind. I plan cooking and traveling around the 3 to 5 music and news update when I can. Yes, NCPR is part of my home!
