Easter at the Farm in Ottawa

Animals are a big part of the culture surrounding Easter.  Chicks, ducklings, bunnies, and lambs all have a place in the secular and religious symbolism of the season. And, almost everyone likes looking at cute baby animals, too.  The Canada Agriculture and Food Museum, located at the Central Experimental Farm in Ottawa, put its cutest and fuzziest little creatures on display for its Easter at the Farm event. It was really popular with young families. Visitors could watch and pet the animals. The Central Experimental Farm today is surrounded by the city, but it remains not only an important agricultural research facility for all of Canada, but also gives city-dwelling citizens an opportunity to learn about what happens on farms and where their food comes from.
