Pick of the week or so

I call it “pick of the week” but I guess the time span is a bit less regular than that…

And, I should call it “picks” because there are cds, books, movies…even favorite blog entries–in that last category, Radio Bob’s daily tales from the bike trail to Cape Cod.

In the music category, I’m long overdue in officially recommending Patty Griffin’s recent release, “Downtown Church.” You know how it is with most cds–at best, 50-75% of the tracks are really good, the rest feels like filler. Not so with this disc. Every track is a gem. Check out this interview about the making of the album.
