As I mentioned (did I?) we’re also constructing a 6′ X 8′ building in which to house our transmitter and ancillary equipment at the new site in Gouverneur. Since I didn’t know what sorts of weather we’d be facing when the time came to actually erect the building, I decided to pre-fab most of the construction in my garage.
So today we arrived at the site with 4 walls, one floor, roof rafters, tools, a generator and TWO black Ford Ranger pickups!
Thanks to TMT Construction (of Gouverneur) there were concrete piers at the site:
So we just laid out our 6″ x 6″ stringers:
Nailed on the pre-fab floor joist system:
Then the floor:
Then the wall sections:
I meant ALL the wall sections:
The the rafters:
Then we called it a day!
