It’s hopping around here

What a week! New people, offices being rearranged, Congressman Owen passing through,  lots happening…

Naomi TenEyck in training with Kelly Trombley.

Naomi TenEyck is learning the front desk and development team ropes from our outgoing Development Assistant Kelly Trombley. Kelly leaves at the end of the month to begin a new career in health care (EMT, and hospital emergency room work); Naomi joins us from the Alumni and Parent Programs Department at St. Lawrence University. Say “hi” and “welcome” to Naomi if you call or email the station. Not so fast, Kelly…we’ll say goodbye to you in three weeks.

Meanwhile, there’s construction throughout the station as we move our record library to make room for another news production and meeting area.

Carpenters Kevin Wilcox and Domminick Melillo work on cd shelving in my office.

At the daily news team meeting: SLU summer news intern Stephen Knight; Sarah Harris, who returns to the station as a digital assistant, feature reporter, and announcer.

Stephen Knight is with us for the summer, interning with the news department in preparation for assuming the editorship of The Hill News, the on-campus newspaper; and, Sarah was graduated from Middlebury College last month and rejoined our staff (she was a Middlebury intern with us last summer) as a gal with many hats: digital department work, news assignments, and part-time announcer.

But the brightest light yesterday, as I cruised around the station clicking photos of the activity, was Mr. Todd Moe, decked out for summer:

Todd Moe, looking bright and happy, even at the polar opposite of the best day of the work week.
