Hoffman takes early lead in web war for 23rd
Update: The Owens campaign emailed me a link this afternoon to their new website. Check it out here.
Conservative Doug Hoffman from Lake Placid is up big and up early with a 3-dimensional website, with video, pictures, and lots of information about his positions.
View his website here.
Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava from Gouverneur, the Republican nominee who beat out Hoffman for the GOP nod, is up, too.
But despite the fact that she’s been in the race longest, her site is far more rudimentary. No pictures, no video. The most active page seems to be her news release page.
Bill Owens, the Democrat, is the newest arrival in the 23d race — and brand new to politics. So far, he has no web presence at all that we can find.
These are early days, of course. There’s no official election to be campaigning for. Lots of time to hone the on-line message.
That said, the web could be important in this campaign, with a district divided over so much geography and a couple of very different media markets…
