It could be a while…

The Daily News blogger, Liz Benjamin, has a note of caution for people eager for a final result in the 23rd CD. She reports there are over 10,000 paper ballots sent out from the 11 counties, just over half have been returned.

So, she says:

Unless the margin of victory for either Democratic candidate Bill Owens or Conservative nominee Doug Hoffman is 8,000 to 9,000, we’re headed for a massive recount a la NY-20.
