Want a bridge demolition fix? Can’t wait until Monday? Check out this video from the Jamestown Bridge demolition in Rhode Island three years ago.
Will the Crown Point bridge blast be as dramatic? Engineers plan to use roughly 500 shaped charges — 800 pounds of total explosives.
Depending on your point of view, the blast will be backdropped by the snowy Greens or the Adirondack Mountains.
One thing I’m curious to see is how the water surge from the falling debris affects the lake ice. (Check out the wave rolling from the Jamestown blast…)
