What if Doheny realized he lost the conservative line, and therefore couldn’t have BOTH the Republican and the Conservative line, and therefore became the team player who dropped out?!!
Also, the article referenced says, “If Hoffman hadn’t run as a third-party candidate, Scozzafava might be comfortably ensconced in that seat by now.”
It could have said, “What if the Republican establishment realized they were running a LIBERAL Republican and instead picked Hoffman. He would be comfortably seated right NOW!
I don’t care what “team” Hoffman belongs too, he should just pick one and stick with it. Either that or become and run as an independent. He’s trying to have his cake at eat it too.
