Morning Read: Post-Star revisits Sandy Lewis story

Glens Falls Post-Star writer will Doolittle has provoked a far-reaching response over the last couple of years in his coverage of the Adirondack Park Agency.

He has begun a new, in-depth series examining the legal clash between the Agency and Essex town farmer Sandy Lewis.  It’s fascinating, with some fresh insights, and the first two installments are well worth a read.

  1. Pete Klein says:

I just had to do some research on Sandy’s real first name. No. He was not given Sandra as a first name so that he would grow up strong. His real first name is Salim. Salim (pronounced Sa-leem), means solemn, wholesome or unadulterated.
Thought it might be interesting to know.

Doolittle on Salim: Here’s a little more background reading on Salim.

and Salim even wrangled a pardon oput of Bill Clinton.

  3. oa says:

I’m glad that he ditched Salim for Sandy, since Salim is disrespectful to the memory of 51 Park Place.

  4. Sandy Lewis says:

    Edited

Salim Bonnor Lewis is my name. Salim has been used 4 times in our family. We pronounce it Sail’ em. It’s Persian, Jewish, and relates to peace. Kurt Eichenwald was fired. For cause. The NY Times has two Pulitzers assigned now. They have had this story for nearly 3 years. They are least interested in APA. Bill Clinton issued the only pardon of a Wall Street manager in history – after saying to many that he would not. Why not? Because I discussed his most personal business with him – on July 18th, 1994 – after he cleared the Holliday Inn kitchen in Portland, Maine, to hear my subject. Two witnessed this conversation. The president was stunned. At heart, he’s a just another politician. His best friend brought us together – then called me the day I was pardoned to say that I would not be pardoned. He knew, he said. I suggested otherwise. I read Bill Clinton differently. Like many of us, he has his issues. They will not leave him. There was no crime – as was discovered by USDC Judge Wm. C. Conner from http://sblewis.net – see footnote 5. The ‘cross’ obliges disclosure – and Jefferies lied. Giuliani knew or should have known. We did not know about Lafer until later. Lafer is failing now. He has talked. This will embarrass counsel, but counsel had an agenda. The WSJ editorial of L Gordon Crovitz was written for him by G. V. Diblasi of Sullivan & Cromwell – and is a lie in part. S & C is a branch office of Goldman, Sachs. Sandy was given to honor Dora Sanders, a dear friend of my parents. My hair was sandy colored before it turned reddish blond. Will Doolittle’s Sunday piece was spot on. He missed on John Sheehan and Ron Jackson on Monday. Danny Hakim of The NY Times quotes Sheehan – and Adirondack Council PR carries the evidence. John lied to Will. When the 501(c)(3) is used for personal gain of a donor, it is a federal crime. Brian Ruder did that – openly. APA was involved. DEC is involved. DEC’s Christopher Augustine Lacombe Esq., hired the son of LeRoy Moses Douglas Jr., and hired the son’s girlfriend, at the same time DEC was attacking Mr. Douglas. The son was married, with children. The son stands accused by his dad of puncturing an oil drum on his dad’s place – which the DEC’s Lacombe then sought to use against the father. Chris Lacombe is a disaster for the DEC. Has been since he was hired. Adirondack Council is Peter S. Paine Jr.’s creation, set to control APA. The model has worked for 37 years. Peter explained it to me years ago when he introduced me to Gary Randorf – another disaster.

Read Will Doolittle’s accounts with care. Ron Jackson is a liar – but he now admits tipping the APA on the four houses. Simply put, I set him up. APA was bent on our destruction since Ellen Egan George came running when we tossed Hammerslag of ECHO out. Jackson got town road worker Eugene Benway to perjure himself in Schenectady on the road case – and his case collapsed as the judge figured it out. Benway was taped by reporter Whitney Jackson of Denton Publications – John Gereau has the tape – as does the State Police. It is state’s evidence, good for 6 years. DA Robert Carney would go on it if DA Sprague will. Both must. Four term Supervisor Jackson lost his shot at a 5th term in Essex. He was exposed in this matter and in his collaboration with a cousin who stripped his parents of all assets and put them on the dole at the Horace Nye. Herrick and Vera Cross were not broke. Herrick Jr., did the deed. Listen to my YouTube talk, 16 minutes, on January 4th – at the County Board of Supervisors. This stuff is better than fiction.

Will Doolittle does not live in the park. He is not afraid of APA. He was raised in Saranac. His dad owned the Adirondack Daily Enterprise and sold it to Nutting, who owns the Pittsburgh Pirates. He’s a legacy brat. Pro APA.

I am told by one who knows, Judge Richard B. Meyer does not, will not – read the Press-Republican. Perhaps he reads The Post-Star of Glens Falls.

    We do.

  5. sequester30 says:

Nah. Salim didn’t write this. The Salim I know is writes in tightly argued , well-reasoned sentences that are profoundly persuasive. Not this incoherent drivel. Someone has stolen youtr identity, Salim. Better tell Doolittle.

  6. oa says:

    Boooooorrrrrriiiiiinnnggg!

  7. Sandy Lewis says:

I find those reluctant to speak with name rather sad.

Once this stuff finds its way to Google, it stays there. It circulates. By name. There’s no other course. Thus, journalists are relegate to a different place. They must compete with logic. Millions of blogs compete. Most are silly.

I use email – and target. Channeling the best flavors the new and opinion columns. And it works when the logic is compelling and the subgroups focus on ethic. Thus – a compliment.

I never use a name – like sequester30. If a man cannot find the courage, his words mean nothing. Speaking of drivel.

  8. oa says:

“I find those reluctant to speak with name rather sad.”
I find those eager to write over long rather bad.
But when this thread ends, rejoice, be glad.
    For what fun those had,
who made those who speak with money a tad mad.

  9. Sandy Lewis says:

Readers of this blog will not ask who funds it. If they did, they would learn who funds WAMC and Adirondack Council, and Hawkeye Conservationists. Anonymously. These are the folks who are working to obliterate those born in the park. Like oa – above, or sequester30, the gutsy among APA and NCPR types. Your targets are so poor they cannot afford the touch tone phone. This is the case with those who serve on the APLGRB with Fred Monroe.

Are you proud of yourselves. Does Brian Mann represent you?
