Ask the pollster!

I’ll be talking this afternoon with Steven Greenberg, with Siena Research Institute about two new polls that show Republicans struggling in the North Country.

This is your chance to chime in with questions. What do you want to know?

Comment below and listen tomorrow morning during the 8 O’clock Hour for Greenberg’s answers.

    Hi Brian –

I would be interested to hear how Greenberg characterizes the NYS Republican Party. Almost by definiition–considering the existence of the Conservative party, it would seem that the NYS Republican party is moderate. I think Doug HOffman and other conservatives have misread the situation, particularly in NY-23

Ask them who pays and how much do they pay for these polls.

  3. JDM says:

I think the GOP leadership has lost touch with its own base. It seems that they think picking centrist candidates is the winning formula, and yet, when a centrist candidate appears on the scene, a conservative appears and splits the vote.

Question: Is the GOP really two parties in one?

If there is a split, it is debatable over which part should carry on the Republican title, and which should be the “break away” party.

Question: Is the GOP more than 50% conservative or is it more than 50% centrist?

How about polling resluts for state legislative races? Statewide polls indicate voters are ready to throw ou incumbent lawmakers, though im not optimistic that will happen in large numbers.

Why would people bite the hand that feeds them? Give most people the choice between the party that promises then the moon and the party that says we have to cut back on your entitlements and which do you think they’ll support? Just how many people out there have the character to make an informed decision and the tough choice?

  6. Dan3583 says:

I don’t know how many have the character, but I do wonder how many have bothered to look beyond the platitudes and promises to determine if their favorite candidate actually has a plan. Don’t think there’s a lot of people making informed decisions in the voting boot.
