NY-24: More bad polling news for Upstate Republicans
On Friday, the Siena Research Institute released a devastating poll for Republicans, showing Columbia county native Chris Gibson trailing Rep. Scott Murphy (D-Glens Falls) by a whopping 17 points.
Today comes another grim survey for the GOP.
This one shows Rep. Mike Arcuri (D-Utica) — whose district includes the Old Forge area — with a sizable, though less dramatic, lead over his opponent, Republican businessman Richard Hanna.
Arcuri leads by 8 points in the race — 48-40% — and also leads on four out of five issues that Siena quizzed likely voters about.
Voters support President Obama’s stimulus proposal and his proposal to eliminate tax cuts for the wealthy.
They are evenly split on whether to implement or repeal the recently passed federal health care reform legislation.
Siena pollster Steven Greenberg notes, however, that Arcuri hasn’t managed to top the “magic” 50% number in the poll, considered an important margin of safety for incumbents.

And Who is going to believe the Siena Poll ? How do you know they didn’t hand pick the people they called by targeting only Democrats ? We might as well call Miss Cleo’s Psychic Hotline from the late night TV ads. ….Miss Cleo will know who to Vote for !!
Remember this “prediction” the Siena Poll made ?–

This could be a game the Dems are pulling to divert Votes.
We’ll prove them wrong again in November when Gibson wins
The Democrats would not use the typical dirty Republican tricks of fake polling.
