Red Storm rising?

Saranac Lake’s football team has started the season 5-0.  But the startling stat is that they’ve won those five games by a combined score of 225-8.

That means they’re a little more than a touchdown away from a season shut-out, so far.

Here’s what the Red Storm’s head coach told the Adirondack Daily Enterprise after last week’s 49-0 win over Beekmantown.

“It doesn’t matter who we have in there,” said Saranac Lake head coach Eric Bennett. “Our guys know what they are doing. Once again, we got everybody in the game.

Our second team guys played a full quarter and a half and they were able to preserve the shutout.”

Next up for Saranac Lake is Massena, a home game schedule for 2pm Saturday.
