Republican Assemblywoman Teresa Sayward from Willsboro says she’s not sure she’ll vote for in the November governor’s race.
This from the Glens Falls Post Star.
State Assemblywoman Teresa Sayward, who is known for her support of gay rights, said Tuesday she may not vote for fellow Republican Carl Paladino for governor because of remarks he has made about homosexuals and women.
“I could not tell you today how my vote will come down,” said Sayward, R-Willsboro, who was en route to Manhattan to speak Tuesday evening at a gathering of Log Cabin Republicans, an organization of Republicans that support gay rights.
Sayward angered many North Country conservatives when she embraced the idea of legalizing same-sex marriage in New York, a position now shared by fellow Republican Assemblywomen Dede Scozzafava and Janet Duprey.

Imagine that, a sensible independent-minded politician.
Hope she votes for Howie Hawkins!
I respect Ms. Sayward’s choice of putting being a human being ahead of being an ideologue.
I would hope, be they Republican or Democrat, that any elected official would have a mind of their own and not turn it over to the so called Party Leaders.
This my party right or wrong stuff must go.
