DUMPING snow

We just got this pic from photographer Nancie Battaglia.

Jarrod Colby, a volunter with Lake Placid Fire Dept. directs traffic on rt 73 outside Lake Placid Friday. Unexpected snow accumulated on the highway leading to Keene making for treacherous driving conditions and accidents. Colby, in shorts, was evidently also caught off guard by the sudden snow storm.

    Oh, I don’t know, there are some pretty cute knees out there on our male pop. and this guy was directing traffic for a BLOCKED rt 73 at 12:30pm. We got turned around and headed back thru LP just in time! Whadamess! Great pic, we were nearly pedestrians ourselves.

    It never ceases to amaze me that guys up here wear shorts outside all year long no matter the weather! I have seen them, in winter parkas, walking down Main St. or shopping at the market wearing shorts! Macho statement, denial that it is winter, or what? Great legs and knowing it, perhaps, but not always! :-)
