Tomorrow morning’s slate

More face-to-face action from North Country candidates tomorw on the 8 o’clock show. It’s just that time of year, and everybody’s running, so here they come…

In New York’s 24th congressional district race – freshman Democrat Michael Arcuri faces a challenge from Republican Richard Hanna. The two debate  in front of  a panel of journalists tonight.  Brian Mann will report.

David Sommerstein is following the 118th district state Assembly race, with another Democratic political newcomer, Addie Russell, running for re-election against Republican David Forsythe.

WRVO in Oswego brought the two candidates for the 48th state Senate district, incumbent Democrat Darrel Aubertine and his Republican challenger, Patty Ritchie, together this morning for an hour-long  conversation with  Grant Reeher a political science at SU. At the end of the hour, Reeher invited the two candidates to ask each other a question.  We’ll hear that excerpt unedited. (The debate will air in its entirety on WRVO tomorrow evening at 7.)

Thankfully, Todd Moe is (so far…) maintaining a politics-free zone in the second half hour of the show.

He’ll talk with one of the world’s finest clarinetists –Jon Manasse about what to listen for in Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto. Manasse will join the Orchestra of Northern New York for a concert in Potsdam  Saturday night.

And he’ll preview the Northern Blend Chorus’ 25th anniversary concert this weekend.

  1. Amy Bertini says:

Congressman Arcuri’s opponent is Richard Hanna not Ed Hanna. incompetent reporting unfortunately often influences election results.
