Okay, it’s a little industry-self-referential to highlight this one, but really Bob Grady has shaped the conversation in the Adirondack North Country as much as any other journalist over the last half-century.
After graduating from Plattsburgh State, Grady joined the Press-Republican in 1972. This from today’s paper:
For 20 years, until he became editor, Grady wrote a popular humor column for the Press-Republican.
Publisher Bob Parks said a decision on a replacement for Grady awaits a national search, per company policy.
“It has been my honor to know and work with Bob Grady for the past 10 years,” Park said. “I thank him for sharing his time and talent with our community.”
The newspaper says a national search will begin. Grady will continue to serve on the newspaper’s editorial board.
