At this morning’s Park Agency meeting in Ray Brook, assistant director of regulatory affairs Rick Weber said that contractors had approached the APA seeking clearance to use a shoreline site in Moriah for construction of massive bridge arches.
The arches will frame the new bridge now under construction at Crown Point. According to Weber, the project will be done at Velez Marine in Port Henry.
Velez Marine is already requesting variances from the APA so that the company can expand operations. That permit is expected to be granted today.
