The Glens Falls Post Star is reporting this morning that the Lake George Park Commission will lead the fight against a new invasive organism called the Asian clam.
“Somebody had to take charge,” Park Commission Chairman Bruce Young said.
The one-time spring eradication project is expected to cost between $250,000 and $350,000.
This latest invasive critter was found in late August and is part of an on-going wave of disruptive non-native organisms that have been sweeping into the North Country. Read the full article here.
