As reported by the In Box on January 19, Stephen Jost is leaving the Shelburne Museum, in Vermont to head the Honolulu Academy of Arts in mid-March. As a former Honolulu resident, that caught my eye and lead me to this in-depth interview by Hawaii Public Radio’s Noe Tanigawa.
An accomplished artist herself, Tanigawa spoke with Jost by phone to discuss what he tried to accomplish at Shelburne and what he might like to see happen in his new position.

Why would anyone want to move to Honolulu?
