The Utica Observer-Dispatch is reporting this morning that Congressman Richard Hanna — who represents a small chunk of the North Country — underwent heart surgery last week.
The mitral valve surgery was scheduled ahead of time and took place on Feb. 21, Hanna’s Chief of Staff Justin Stokes said.
“He is recuperating and doing very well, with a complete recovery expected,” Stokes said. “Rep. Hanna looks forward to returning to work shortly and will follow the advice and recommendations of his doctors.”
