State officials say they believe they’ve found the car that was involved in a fatal hit and run accident on the Northway this week.
Mary Morissey, a 65-year-old woman from Mechanicville, died in the crash. This from the Albany Times-Union.
No arrests have been made, but police are questioning the person who was driving the car when a state trooper spotted it pulled off to the shoulder of the Palisades Parkway Monday.
Lt. Scott Heggelke said the car will be brought to Ray Brook Tuesday for a forensic examination that will be performed within the next few days. Although the car and partial plate match the description of the car involved in the fatal crash, only a thorough study will confirm if it is the Toyota Camry police were looking for, police said.
