New York City’s curbside haiku project is not, really, at the top of my mind. But I ran across the actual traffic safety signs and accompanying poems at Huffington Post and can’t resist sharing a follow-up.
Just for instance…here is one haiku:
She walks in beauty
Like the night. Maybe that’s why
Drivers can’t see her
And:
8 million swimming,
The traffic rolling like waves
Watch for undertow
There are 12 haiku and accompanying signs put up this week by the city DOT in collaboration with artist John Morse. You can see them all here, with a map of where to find them on the streets.
