Thompson endorses Hoffman in 23rd District special election

Former U.S. Sen. Fred Thompson is backing Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman over the endorsed fellow Republican, Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava, in the race to fill New York’s 23rd Congressional seat.

In a letter calling for support from conservatives in the district and beyond, Thompson notes Hoffman opposes abortion. Scozzafava supports abortion rights.
