Breaking: State police investigate rape at Keene Valley School

State police say they’ve arrested an eighteen year old man in Keene Valley for allegedly raping a girl younger than thirteen years old.

The crime allegedly occurred at the Keene Valley Central School. According to police, Kyle Kernan Dudley entered the school through an unlocked window on November 20th and again on November 21st.

In a press release, authorities say Kernan Dudley, age 18, engaged in sexual contact “with a female less than thirteen years old.”

He’s been charged with first degree rape, burglary, sexual abuse, and endangering the welfare of a child.

According to police, Kernan-Dudley was arraigned before Town of North Elba Justice Dean Dietrich and released on $2,000 bail.

He’s scheduled to return to Keene town court on November 30.
