Maybe we could get these guys to visit Albany?

These costumed characters are standing in the chambers of the Houston City Council, waiting for the mayor to declare “Star Wars: The Clone Wars at Space Center Houston Day.”

These are members of the 501st Legion, an international group of Star Wars fans who (as you can tell) own and wear realistic costumes. This photo was taken by Michael Paulsen at the Houston Chronicle.

Do you think a visit from some scary looking Star Wars characters could prompt our state legislature to pass a budget?

Or do New Yorkers think this is what state lawmakers look like?
