(Canton 9:15pm) While we await numbers from boards of elections across New York, one number on the New York Times website jumped out at me:
House Race Ratings:
168: Solid Democratic [districts]
168: Solid Republican [districts]
99: Seats in Play
To claim a majority, a party needs 218 seats (out of 435).
That’s a complete toss up.

Better check the weather. I think there’s a political wind blowing in one direction.
JDM, are you referring to more-conservative candidates apparently edging out moderate Republicans? If so, it would seem you’re right.
But, keep in mind, today is primary voting.
There are no races (that I know of) in which Democrats face Republicans.
