Nationwide, Congress is complete toss up

(Canton 9:15pm) While we await numbers from boards of elections across New York, one number on the New York Times website jumped out at me:

House Race Ratings:

168: Solid Democratic [districts]

168: Solid Republican [districts]

99: Seats in Play

To claim a majority, a party needs 218 seats (out of 435).

That’s a complete toss up.

  1. JDM says:

    “Toss up”??

Better check the weather. I think there’s a political wind blowing in one direction.

  2. Jonathan Brown says:

JDM, are you referring to more-conservative candidates apparently edging out moderate Republicans? If so, it would seem you’re right.

But, keep in mind, today is primary voting.

There are no races (that I know of) in which Democrats face Republicans.
