What’s up in tomorrow’s morning news show
At least…what’s in the works now for the 8 O’clock Hour tomorrow:
A race that could have split the Republican and Conservative voting bloc in the North Country got simpler today. Conservative Doug Hoffman dropped out of the 23rd congressional district race, and endorsed Republican Matt Doheny. That’s expected to be a boost for Doheny. That story, tomorrow morning.
More changing dynamics in the race for governor – after conflicting polls a week ago, a new Siena College survey of likely voters gives Democrat Andrew Cuomo a three to one lead over Republican Carl Paladino. Karen DeWitt is following that and other news in Albany.
Republicans are looking to pick off vulnerable Democrats in the US Senate – and some polls suggest Kirsten Gillibrand could be among them. Brian Mann has that story.
It isn’t ALL politics on the Wednesday 8 O’clock Hour…Todd Moe talks to a New Jersey woman who spent most of this summer paddling from the Adirondacks to Maine — alone. Cathy Mumford is the first woman to solo through-paddle the entire 740-mile Northern Canoe Forest Trail. (62 days. I think she was counting…)
