The weather stats, according to the Adirondack Weather Site blog, are dramatic:
To put it into perspective, here is an eye-popping comparison for Indian Lake:
2010 (Calendar Year) : 51.6″
2011 (January-February): 65.7″
That’s quite a turnaround.
Indeed. And my skis thank the skies. But even I have stopped writing romantic odes to the snow shovel…

Yeah the snow is good this year but the problem is we only get good snow years once every 5-6 yrs.
Don’t worry, Jim.
Global Warming is rapidly working up to the next Ice Age.
Hope, hope!
I’m not arguing but we kept track back home, just a few miles from Injin Lake, in the late 60’s/early 70’s and the snow fall regularly exceeded 12-14 FEET per winter. Weather patterns change over time. Maybe it’s coming back.
According to my records, 93″ so far between Nov. 1 and Feb. 28. About 4 ft. on the ground right now.
