Here’s the latest from political cartoonist Marquil, who connects the dots between the big decision expected next week on the Adirondack Club and Resort and the state’s effort to battle invasive, feral hogs. As always, your comments welcome.

And the last line should read, “And paid for by the diversion of School, County and Town tax revenue so I can make even more money”
That’s some pig.
Combating invasive species could employ thousands.
Brilliant
Wow Brian, I guess this really confirms and highlights your position on the ACR. How does this cartoon ‘connect.. the dots between the big decision expected next week on the Adirondack Club and Resort and the state’s effort to battle invasive, feral hogs.’ So you are comparing the APA’s decision on the ACR with feral hogs? What dots? Seriously?
Just what I’ve come to expect from NCPR. Leftist dribble. Brian had some thinking he was objective but he didn’t fool everyone.
But the pigs have already done more damage.
I think most people realize that the ADK resort may never happen, the guy should have said just talk about destroying land for 10 years and you can get full.
“Way Too Funny”. Ba ha ha ha ha !!! “LOL” !!!
Mark, I’ve known it from day one.

Q:” What dots? Seriously?”
A: Hogs = Developers
Folks, c’mon. It’s a standard practice at the In Box to highlight Marquil’s cartoons.
My quick introduction was just that, an introduction. This is Marquil’s take on the situation, not mine. He connected these two stories, I didn’t.
All the flutter about this revealing my perspective on the Adirondack Club and Resort project is nonsense.
People have been trying to peg my views about this project for the better part of a decade, so I’ll restate them here.
I’m a journalist covering a big story. Period, full stop. It’s my job to feed facts into the debate and to offer up varying points of view respectfully.
NCPR has done that exhaustively and I think well. At various times, we’ve raised the ire of people across the political spectrum.

Brian, the responses posted accusing you of not supporting the ACR show how desperate the hardcore supporters are to stifle any opposition. This effort has been led by the TL Free Press and it has done a good job to that end. I think your reporting on this project has been fairly objective, wish you would dig a little deeper on the proposed PILOT and the potential effects on the Town/School if sales projections made by the developers don’t meet expectations.
Just show how devious Brian and the rest of those left-wing, anti-development fanatics are, this recent post “Are Green Groups Exagerrating the Impact of the Resort Development” makes a point that pro-resort types would support. http://blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org/inbox/tag/adirondack-club-and-resort/.
Confirmation that the most threatening invasive species to the health of Adirondack Park communities and the year-round residents that attempt to live, work and raise a family here are the environmental groups and the 1% er’s that fund their organizations! They need to be eradicated!
Uh, R&L, what’s your rational and logical plan to eradicate environmentalists?
R&L, you seem to be “Rational and Logical” like Fox News is “Fair and Balanced.”
the project will only use 800 acres and the remainder of the 6400 parcel will be better protected than it is now.
for a reasoned analysis refer to the adirondack entireprise editorial page.
thousands of acres of forest(private land) will not be destroyed.
marquil’s cartoon is either a very mis informed perspective or a bald faced lie like the others he has published
its a shame that ncpr helps perpetuate this fiction
