Weather over Winooski, VT, and surrounding areas, as of 3:50 p.m. Image: wunderground.com
I’m watching the weather go crazy outside my house in Winooski, Vermont right now — driving rain, high winds, the power flickering on and off. They sky went dark grey, now it’s strangely yellow, and the cat’s freaked out. A real summer storm!
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Chittenden, Addison and Franklin counties in Vermont and Essex County in New York. They say the storm is also producing deadly cloud-to-ground lightning, and could produce hail and flash flooding in some places.

Here in Potsdam, our sky turned a brilliant green yesterday…and then nothing. I think we dodged a bullet.
We were hammered in O’Burg, downpours on several occasions and summer thunderboomers.
Almost nothing in DeKalb or Hermon.
