Things get funky in NY-23’s GOP primary

WNBZ in Saranac Lake is reporting this morning on rumors that Matt Doheny, one of the Republicans vying for the chance to go after Democrat Bill Owens, may be preparing to drop out of the race.

Doheny’s spokeswoman, Alison Power, says the rumors – quote – “reek of sabotage.”

“Whoever is perpetuating those reports, I would look seriously at what their agenda might be – that is an outright lie,” she said. “We’d love a break, but there isn’t one. Matt’s agenda is totally full and going full speed through September 14 and on to the general election because he’s going to win this primary.”

I never heard the rumor, only the rumor rebuttal. Did anyone hear the rumor?
