The Glens Falls Post Star is reporting this morning that the Hudson River Rafting Co. faces a new probe by a Hamilton County grand jury.
A judge dismissed the case last month on procedural grounds, but District Attorney James Curry has decided to present the case again.
[Owner Parick] Cunningham was charged with misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child last summer in connection with whitewater rafting trips on the Hudson River that ended with a group of children stuck in the river and an inexperienced kayaker stuck in the rapids and in need of rescue.
Those charges came after an investigation by the state Department of Environmental Conservation that started when three rafters were injured earlier in the summer, Curry said last fall.
