A Mountain Retreat for Governor Cuomo

Governor Cuomo is vacationing this week. On his list of destinations, should his trip not get cut short by the hurricane, is Saranac Lake. This New York Times article details Cuomo and his family’s fondness for the town–his girlfriend Sandra Lee named it her favorite vacation spot, on par with Capri, Italy. The article is gently tongue-and-cheek about the governor and town alike. But it made me smile. And I hope the hurricane blows out to sea so that the governor can enjoy the last strains of summer in the High Peaks.

    No apology needed. An elopment and civil service in Saranac Lake would have been a nice twist to the story.
