Paterson pulling plug today?

Word is swirling in Albany that Governor David Paterson will shut down his election bid this afternoon.

Apparently he has no plans to resign over this week’s scandal involving his intervention in a domestic violence case involving a senior aide.

Paterson has defied these rumors before, but this time there is a growing consensus that he has no choice but to withdraw.
